Differences And Types / Kinds Of Blood Vessels

A. Blood vessels can be divided into 3, namely:

1. Arteries (arteries)

Arteries are blood vessels that carry blood away from the heart.

Arteries contain oxygenated blood, except for the pulmonary arteries.

2. Veins (veins)

Veins are blood vessels that carry blood into the heart.

Veins contain blood that contains carbon dioxide, except for the pulmonary veins.

3. Capillaries

Capillaries are small vessels from the ends of arteries and veins.

It is in these capillaries that the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide gas occurs between the blood and body tissues.

 B. The difference between arteries (arteries) and veins (veins).

- The walls of the vessels are thick, strong and elastic

- The blood flow leaves the heart

- Feel the pulse

- One valve at the base of the heart
